The Department of Prisons has launched a special investigation into a clash between organized crime figure Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, alias ‘Harak Kata’, and Mandinu Padmasiri, alias ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’.
The Department of Prisons said an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons has been appointed to investigate the incident.
A clash reportedly occurred between ‘Harak Kata’ and ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’, who are being held at the Welisara Prison, last night (22). ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’ sustained injuries in the incident and was subsequently hospitalized.
The Department of Prisons further stated that he is currently receiving treatment at the Welisara Prison Hospital.
